The Parent Trap: Lindsay Lohan's father Michael 'on installment plan' to pay back his ex-wife Dina for child support
Lindsay Lohan's father is on an installment plan to pay his ex-wife Dina child support, TMZ claim.
The
site reports that Michael Lohan recently paid a sum on $9,500 to the
New York State Support Processing Center recently, and still owes Dina
around $6,000.
He has now been allowed by a judge to pay the remaining balance in $1,500-a-month installments.

plan' to pay ex-wife Dina child support
TMZ first
reported last month that the former Wall Street trader was being being
chased by Dina for $16,000 relating to missed alimony for the upkeep of
their four children – Lindsay, 28, Michael Jr, 27, Ali, 21, and
18-year-old Cody.
The
website reported a presiding judge in Florida, where the 54-year-old
owns property, had suspended his driving license and revoked his
passport until the amount has been paid in full.
He is now said to have got back his driver's license.

Tough times: Dina has been helping
Lindsay get back on track, and featured in her reality docu-series on
Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network
Sources
claim Lohan has also received personal criticism for driving an
expensive Maserati sports car around coastal city Boca Raton while
'owing thousands'.
Failure
to resolve the issue could have resulted in a prison term for Lohan,
who previously received a four year jail term for a series of
misdemeanours, amongst them driving under the influence, in 2005.
In 2011 he was also arrested at his home in Tampa, Florida, for an alleged assault against girlfriend Kate Major.
Famous offspring: Michael and Dina are the parents of former child star Lindsay Lohan
Michael
is believed to have recently spent $50,000 on a lavish Raptor truck for
his son, and friends he pays his children directly rather than submit
payments to Dina for fear that she will spend the money on herself.
MailOnline have contacted Michael and Dina's representatives for further comment.
Meanwhile
TMZ report that Lindsay isn't so happy with Dina amid claims she is up
for moving to the UK to take part in the upcoming series of Celebrity
Big Brother.

The
show, which is set to air again this summer, is said to be quite a
tempting choice for the 52-year-old matriarch and TV personality.
Often
drawing in US talent - such as previous contestants Michael Madsen,
Perez Hilton, Gary Busey and Evander Holyfield to name a few - Dina is
said to be in the 'final stages of negotiations' over becoming a
contestant.
A
representative for Dina has since told MailOnline that 'Dina's not in
negotiations with the show at all' and that there is 'no truth in the
rumours'.
Previously: Lohan, who reportedly
faces jail if he fails to pay, has previously landed behind bars for a
spate of offences, amongst them a domestic dispute at his home in Tampa,
Florida in 2011
