Nicole Petallides Leaves Fox Business to Join TD Ameritrade Network

By A.J. Katz Comment

The first anchor to ever appear on Fox Business Network is now leaving.
FBN anchor and New York Stock Exchange floor reporter Nicole Petallides is departing FBN and joining the TD Ameritrade Network as an on-air host beginning Dec. 17, she announced today from the TD Ameritrade Network’s live Nasdaq broadcast.
The TD Ameritrade Network is a streaming financial news service launched in 2017, and offers investors live, market insights, strategy tips and education.  Petallides will remain based in New York in her new role, and will join a group of hosts including Oliver Renick, former Bloomberg BusinessWeek co-anchor, and veteran traders from TD Ameritrade, to interview industry experts and market analysts.
“Nicole is a natural fit for the TD Ameritrade Network. She brings a depth of industry experience and strong breaking news skills that will further strengthen and elevate the Network’s coverage and support investors in navigating today’s markets,” said Steve Quirk, executive vice president of trading and education at TD Ameritrade.
Prior to joining FBN in 2007, Petallides anchored at Bloomberg and she reported from the NYSE. Petallides has also held production roles at CNBC, CNN, and had local reporting stints at WNYW-FOX 5 Good Day New York, and NY1 News.
“The TD Ameritrade Network amplifies business news in sharp detail and offers incredible content that is 100% relevant to its audience,” Petallides said. “I’ve been on Wall Street my entire career and am thrilled to join a company with a team that is forward thinking, unique, and knowledgeable. It is also exciting to be a part of a direct-to-consumer platform that is competitive, growing exponentially, and improving the way financial news is delivered to investors.”
As mentioned, Petaillides, along with Jenna Lee, co-anchored FBN’s first hour on-air, the 5-6 a.m. program Fox Business Morning on Oct. 15, 2007. The rest, as they say, is history.
TVNewser obtained Petallides’ farewell note:
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I was truly honored to say our first words, “Welcome to the new Fox Business Network” (Oct. 2007) .. And look at FBN now!!!
Thank you all for a wonderful 11 years! I’m so proud to of been a part of it. The experience was fantastic and I really loved working with you. FBN has an amazing team and some of the most talented in our industry.
Wishing you and your loved ones all the joys of the season and all the best for 2019!
