The 6.3% drop represents $500 million in potential lost revenue for CBS, ESPN, Fox and NBC, Outkick reported. In the past three weeks, viewership plummeted about 5.7%, which means the cratering is accelerating.
Millions of football fans have turned off their TV sets and canceled their game tickets to protest the NFL’s disrespect of the national anthem.
Unemployed quarterback Colin Kaepernick launched the protests in August 2016, when he hijacked football games by refusing to stand for the national anthem.
Other players have since joined the protest, which has caused irreparable damage to the NFL’s popularity and brand. Fans disgusted by the injection of liberal politics into their leisure time have now boycotted the league in droves.
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has continued to call out NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

President Donald Trump suggested Monday that the NFL should suspend the Oakland Raiders’ running back Marshawn Lynch for the rest of the season if he sits during the US national anthem again.From New York Post:

Facebook is paying millions for a reality show on the NFL's Marshawn Lynch
Facebook Inc (FB.N) is paying Time Warner Inc's (TWX.N) Bleacher Report millions of dollars for a reality show on NFL player Marshawn Lynch, the sports site told Reuters — a sign that the social media firm is willing to pay top dollar to lure viewers and ads to its Watch video service.
The reality show about the Oakland Raiders running back, called "No Script," launches at a time when Facebook and other web giants including Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) and Netflix Inc (NFLX.O) are spending billions on original content in a pitched battle for viewers. Facebook is planning to spend up to $1 billion on original shows, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Facebook did not respond to requests for comment on its spending.
Facebook's Watch was rolled out to U.S. users last month. The company has initially been paying for a handful of shows to attract viewers to the platform.
It has paid $10,000 to $35,000 for shorter-form shows and up to $250,000 for some longer-scripted shows, sources told Reuters in May.
"No Script" will start streaming this month and consists of eight 10- to 15-minute episodes featuring various antics by Lynch, who is returning to football as a running back for the Raiders.
Lynch, known as "Beast Mode" for his running prowess, has returned to the league this season after retiring in 2015 from the Seattle Seahawks, where he helped win Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos in 2014.
The first episode features Lynch taking racecar driving lessons until he ruins the tires of the car.
In a deal similar to others, Facebook retains exclusive rights to the show for a period of time, Brown said, declining to elaborate on the exclusivity window. After that period Bleacher Report owns the content and can use it.
It was a big priority for Bleacher Report to keep the show authentic, given Lynch's raw style, Brown said.
For the most part Facebook gave Bleacher Report full creative control, however the social media network does have concerns about offensive language, Brown said.

David, a former Indianapolis Colts cheerleader, had moved to Dallas to audition for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and held a spot on the squad for five years. She was featured on the team’s CMT reality show "Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team,” which documents the cheerleaders’ audition process.
David has undergone therapy in Texas, California, and her hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, and is showing progress, Fox59 reported.
“We’ve shown her videos of her right after her stroke to just show her … you couldn’t move, you couldn’t stand and now look at what you’re doing,” Erin Bell, David’s former teammate and current Colts cheerleader, told Fox59. “She suffered a very severe stroke, so it’s almost a miracle [she is improving].”
“I’m a fighter,” David told the news channel. “I will be a fighter.”
Before she returns to Texas, David will take part in the Colts Cheerleaders’ calendar release party on Friday. The team is donating a portion of the proceeds to support her recovery.
According to Fox59, David is working to spread awareness of how to identify when someone has suffered a stroke.
Adrian Peterson reinstated by the NFL
The NFL has reinstated running back Adrian Peterson, the league announced on Thursday. His reinstatement officially kicks in on Friday, at which point he can participate any scheduled activities with the team.
Peterson's stint on the exempt list essentially amount to a paid leave of absence, and he was indefinitely suspended by the league in November. During his appeal, Peterson successfully argued that the NFL had agreed in September to reinstate him when his legal issues had been resolved. In November, Peterson pleaded down to one misdemeanor count of reckless assault, which resulted in a $4,000 fine, 80 hours of community service and a requirement to enroll in parenting classes. The plea bargain opened the door for the former MVP to seek reinstatement by the NFL. When league officials declined to make a decision, the NFLPA filed an expedited, non-injury grievance on Peterson's behalf,
The controversy surrounding Peterson began in September when a grand jury in Montgomery County, Texas indicted the NFL star on felony charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child. The Vikings responded by deactivating Peterson for their Week 2 game against the New England Patriots. The team reinstated him the following Monday, leading to a storm of criticism from sponsors and even the governor of Minnesota. The Vikings eventually relented, placing Peterson on the commisioner's permission/exempt list with the help of the league.

reported that she had built a replica target and practiced three times a

footballs at a time from the rack with one in each hand, cutting down
her motion time.“I felt like I could have practiced more, but I guess it was enough,” said a modest Reyes, one of 16 finalists picked out of over 1,700 participants.
Reyes, who is studying arts and sciences, was emotional after the victory, bursting in tears in front of the nationally televised audience. She said the prize money would take some weight off of her and her parents’ shoulders, and that it would “lessen the financial burden,” allowing her to concentrate on her studies.
“I just started crying, that’s all I could do,” Reyes said in a telephone interview via a video story on CBN News 8 with Matt Johnson.
She thanked the soft drink company for the opportunity to participate in the event then thanked her family and friends in both San Diego and Philippines for their support. Many on social media were so impressed with her passing skills that they called for Reyes to play quarterback for their favorite college football team.
“Out of my three sisters I’m like the least athletic, so it’s pretty funny,” said Reyes, who saw the tweets directed her way and admitted the most quarterbacking she would be doing in the future is maybe playing a little toss out in the yard.
In Reyes’ profile page for the contest, she said she would like to “cure ignorance,” “redefine abnormal” and has “always had an itch to understand the people around me.” Part of the scholarship money will also go towards funding school for her younger sister.
