Kelsey joins the NewsSource 16 team as a reporter and weekend anchor. Kelsey arrives in the northwest after living nearly a year in sunny Singapore. There she worked as a travel host for an online blog where she traveled all across Southeast Asia exploring the beautiful region and meeting incredible people along the way. She filmed in Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
In Singapore, Kelsey helped create a tutor/mentor program for underprivileged children and worked directly with a local hospital to bring art activities and movie nights to children battling cancer.
Kelsey studied Journalism in Canberra, Australia and received a B.A. in Mass Communication/Journalism from Boise State University, in Boise, Idaho.
Before moving overseas, Kelsey started her journalism career at KKCO in Grand Junction, Colorado where she worked as a production assistant and reporter. There she helped cover the Aurora Theater shooting and presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s visit to Grand Junction during the 2012 election.
Kelsey thrives in the outdoors and is happy she lives in one of the best places for it. She loves rock climbing; hot yoga; and can find an adventure around every corner.
