Klayman to push for Obama's impeachment
December 18, 2013
Larry Klayman, who recently sued the NSA over its domestic spying
programs, is hot on the trail of the Obama administration and
impeachment is his goal. In a report published yesteday on World Net Daily, Klayman said the "misdeeds of Richard Nixon, who resigned in disgrace, pale in comparison to President Obama’s."
“In Watergate, Richard Nixon faced impeachment for breaking into the offices of the chairman of the Democratic National Party,” Klayman told WND. "Obama has broken into the homes of 300 million Americans.”
When asked by WND if he was calling for the impeachment of Obama, Klayman responded, “Yes. The NSA and the Obama administration are engaging in criminal behavior, and both are lying.”
Klayman and his Judicial Watch group were instrumental in brining about the impeachment of former-President Bill Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. As much as Democrats wanted the American public to believe that case was a private matter about sex and marital infidelity, it was much more. It was about a president who lied under oath and obstructed justice.
The crimes of the Obama administration are much more serious than even that.
Klayman told WND that the actions of the NSA were “ the most outrageous violation of constitutional rights in American history.”
The lawsuit filed by Klayman against the NSA on behalf of a Verizon Wireless customer came about as the result of revelations by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden who released classified documents that exposed the agency's constitutional violations.
Defendants in the case are the NSA, the Department of Justice and several U.S. officials, including President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.
A preliminary ruling Monday U.S. District Court Judge Richard Leon found the NSA's 'metadata' collection program was likely unconstitutional and a direct violation of the Fourth Amendment. The lawsuit accuses the NSA of engaging in “a secret and illegal government scheme to intercept and analyze vast quantities of domestic telephonic communications.”
“Very few people have the guts to take on the NSA,” Klayman said during his interview with WND. “Judge Leon knows the NSA can get into the communications of federal judges. That’s the level of intimidation the NSA is capable of handing out. Judge Leon is an American hero for his willingness to take on the NSA and the Obama administration.”
Klayman also told WND that he was put under surviellance by the NSA after filing the lawsuit, and that the agency sent emails from his account.
“If you end up being a person of interest to the NSA or the Department of Justice, the NSA recording of telephone conversations permits the NSA to know everything about you, even whether or not your wife is pregnant, just by the number of times she calls her doctor and the pattern of her health-care-related telephone conversations,” Klayman said.
Klayman also says Obama's illegal actions far exceed those of Nixon. “Nixon did not have Obama’s NSA,” Klayman said. “Both Nixon and Obama lied repeatedly to the American public after they got caught, but Nixon did not have Obama’s technology.”
