After the success of the "Veronica Mars" kick start campaign for a
movie, many fans of various shows are doing the same thing. And "Charmed" fans are not ones to stand around and be idle when it comes to bringing back to life their favorite television show. Charmed Comic Fan,
as they are known on both Facebook and Twitter, have started an active
campaign to bring the television show back to life as a movie. This
campaign was started today and lasts today only.
"Charmed" the television series ended it's eight season run in 2006 with a wonderful video of scene of where the girls end up in the future. It gave a wonderful close to the series but it did leave out series star Shannen Doherty who played Prue from any pictures on the walls or flashbacks.
But, in 2010, Zenescope decided to pick up a season 9 via comics and the world of "Charmed" began. It began with catching the fans up and was a great comic book. And not to give away spoilers, but Prue did make an appearance return in this season.
The last comic was released in October 2012 with Zenescope continuosly pushing back any announcements as to whether there will be a season 10 in the comics.
But, it appears to be that the creator of Charmed Comic Fans is very passionate about "Charmed" and is ready to do whatever it takes to get a movie of "Charmed".
So, this is what they are doing. They simply want a trend of tweets about anything about "Charmed" so that it will begin to trend. You can do this by saying anything about "Charmed" and follow it with #wewantcharmedmovie.
They have even taken it upon themselves to tweet the stars as well as others related to the series. At this time Alyssa Milano, who played Phoebe, Finola Hughes, who played their mother, Patty and Victor Weber, who played Coop has retweeted. But nothing has been heard from Holly Marie Combs who played Piper or Shannen Doherty.
So, let's wish these fans good luck and help make it a possibility that one of the best shows led by a female cast will make it to the big screen.
What would you like for the movie to be centered around? Prue meeting Paige? The future kids and the sisters being older? A remake of the beginning of the show? Please comment below and remember to tweet this article with #wewantcharmedmovie to help the cause.
For now if you would like to watch the series on DVD, here.
