There was a time when female sports reporters, at least the sexy ones, were far and few between. If there was a beautiful woman talking about sports, she would be snatched up within a month and turned into a model, actress, etc...
Nowadays, sexy female sports reporters exist in every sport, region, and country in the world. Even Nascar has some delectable treats in the pits. And ESPN has gone from a No Women Allowed club to a gallery of the hottest women in sports.
So, pause the TIVO recording of The Bachelor, we all know she is making you watch it tonight, and check out the 53 sexiest female sports reporters of 2012.

53. Melissa Stark returns to TV on NFL Network's 'NFL Total Access,' will balance role as reporter, mom

Melissa Stark, above in her earlier stint on 'Monday Night Football,' is now at NFL Network.

Melissa Stark, above in her earlier stint on 'Monday Night Football,' is now at NFL Network.

When Melissa Stark got a call from Jim Cohen, a senior coordinating producer at NFL Network, who floated the idea of a flexible job to return to TV, she initially said no.
Like a lot of women, Stark, 38, a former ABC Sports and NBC News reporter, struggled with the idea of being a working mother.
"I said no, for a week or two," she says.
She'd been out of the business for four years, having stepped away from a successful career to be a wife and full-time mother to her four children.
"As a female, there's always the question of: 'Can you have it all?' And the answer always seemed to be no," she says.
With this offer, though, she found a way to say yes.
Stark is now a reporter on NFL Network's "NFL Total Access," airing Monday through Saturday at 7 p.m., and "Around the League Live," airing Monday at 1 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday at 5 p.m.
"This really seemed like the right opportunity for right now," she says. "It was a great way to get back in with a first-class organization, and get back to reporting, which I love."
In a typical schedule, a few days each week, Stark will report from the Jets, Giants or Eagles camp. She gets a chance to balance life at home with the kids and with her husband, Mike Lilley, who convinced her to say yes.
Not so long ago, Stark was white-hot. She'd had a good run working with John Madden and Al Michaels as a sideline reporter on "Monday Night Football." Then she moved to NBC's "Today" show. However, over time the idea of dumping everything to cover breaking news conflicted with being a mom, so she broke away from TV altogether.
She's glad she took the time away, and now is happy to be back in a way that allows her to make a kindergarten play and the NFL playoffs.
"I've been in this little bubble, this suburban lifestyle as a mother," she says. "It's nice to have a piece of my old life back. It's something to energize you and to get your mind back.
"Before now, I couldn't have done it," she adds. "I couldn't have balanced it all. Finally, I'm emerging out of the woods with the children, where this works."
Walking back into the locker room for the first time, she felt right at home and among familiar faces. She's again embraced the competitive nature of the business, sifting through stories at camp each day to find the best angles to report.
"It's like an adrenaline rush," she says about returning. "There's a sense of energy."
As if coming back after four years away wasn't enough stress, Stark's debut on the NFL Network came on Sept. 11, the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. She was positioned near the site for the telecast.
"Once I got there, and talking, and in the moment," she says of that day a few weeks back, "I just felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be."

Did You Know:
Amanda Pflugrad has been working in broadcasting for the last several years. But since she's mostly been working in regional markets, she is probably most recognizable from her days as one of the University of Oregon's most beautiful cheerleaders.
That's no small distinction if you're familiar with the Ducks' cheerleaders. Pflugrad created a major stir back in 2009, after pictures of an alcohol-soaked bikini booze cruise started making their rounds on the Web. You'll have to find them on your own if that interests you—her lawyer shut that whole thing down.

20. Hannah Storm: ESPN

20hannahstorm_display_image
Call it a schoolboy crush, but Hannah Storm has always been one of my favorite ladies on ESPN.
She does not have that supermodel appeal. She has a foxy quality that makes most men pay close attention when she speaks during SportsCenter.

19. Michelle Beisner: NFL Network

19michellebeisner_display_image
What happens to the young women that we see dancing and shaking on the sidelines after they retire from NFL cheerleading?
They become NFL analysts like Michelle Beisner did. She danced for the Denver Broncos for six season, holding the captain job for four of them. She is now one of the lesser known yet sexier women on the NFL Network.
It will not be long before she makes her way into the commentator's booth. Well, maybe.

18. Samantha Steele: Longhorn Network

18samanthasteele_display_image
The Longhorn Network is a sports channel dedicated to University of Texas. It has nothing to do with actual cattle, just the University.
It was launched last August, and Samantha Steele was one of the first female sports reporters to be featured on the team.
In fact, she was one of the first three people the network hired. Not too shabby, Sam.

17. Niki Noto: ESPNU

17nikinoto_display_image
Niki Noto—what a terrific name for such a beautifully talented sports reporter. It's as if she was born to be a reporter.
"This is Niki Noto coming to you live from Michigan."
It has a certain appeal to it. It rolls off the tongue.

16. Jennifer Hale: Fox Sports

16jenniferhale_display_image
The closet thing Jennifer Hale has to a sports background is that she graduated from LSU. Other than that, it is more bland than a college seminar on mating habits of a cricket.

15. Lindsay Soto: NFL Network

15lindsaysoto_display_image
If the NFL network had existed twenty years ago, we would be discussing the difference between the beautiful sideline hotties of then and now.
It is a fact. The NFL network enjoys hiring hot sideline reporters. Of course, they have to wait until ESPN gets the first pick. Then they can make claims on women like Lindsay Soto.

14. Molly Qerim: CBS Sports Network

14mollyqerim_display_image
Molly Qerim, otherwise known as Molly Q. in my neck of the woods, received a master's degree from Quinnipiac University.
That was not important information. I just needed an excuse to use Qerim and Quinnipiac in the same sentence.

Lindsay Czarniak got her start covering the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series for TNT and the 2008 Olympics in Beijing for NBC.
Sorry, boys; she's taken. Czarniak is married to MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin. The two met on the job while working as anchors for NBC4 News Washington I have been bombarded with emails this past year asking me about ESPN. I have heard all sorts of questions ranging from who is the hottest to what was the best decision ESPN made in 2011.
Their best decision is staring at you right now. Lindsay Czarniak qualifies as one of the better hires of the past decade by ESPN. She is always welcomed on my television screen giving me updates on the days action.
Thanks, ESPN.

12. Melanie Collins

12melaniecollins_display_image
If you thought this photo of Melanie Collins was sexy, you have apparently never Googled her name.
A couple years ago, she became famous so quick she did not have enough time to delete her Facebook account and her photos were blasted all over the web.

11. Erin Andrews: ESPN & Fox Sports

  Cover_crop_650x440

I think it is time for a new face of ESPN.
Erin Andrews, you are no longer the hottest woman on ESPN. I apologize, but everyone will eventually see who has dethroned the queen. And it is not who you might think.
Current Employer: Fox Sports
Past Experience:
ESPN
Twitter ID:

Did You Know:
Actually, you probably already know Erin Andrews whole story. She worked for ESPN before ditching the worldwide leader, her employer of more than eight years at the time, for Fox Sports in 2012. She also appeared on ABC's Dancing with the Stars.
Andrews got her start in broadcasting at Fox Sports Florida in 2000, where she worked as a freelance reporter after graduating from the University of Florida. Her performance on Fox in 2012 had mixed reviews, but it doesn't seem to have impacted her overall popularity.

10. Lauren Gardner

10laurengardner_display_image
Lauren Gardner has a nickname, and it is one of those nicknames that bears repeating.
She once went by the name, Mile High Sports Betty.
If you want to ask why, this has to be your first time out of the cell. When a woman goes by a name like that, ask questions later.

9. Genevieve Chappell

9genevievechappell_display_image
Genevieve Chappell knows more about cars than you do. I promise.
She has not only modeled for automotive companies and events but she has hosted television shows, announced car auctions, and worked side-by-side with more automotive legends than Ford.
She also looks great in a, well, any article of clothing it looks like.

8. Charissa Thompson: ESPN

Did You Know:
Charissa Thompson actually got her start at Fox Sports, where she spent four years covering football and serving as a correspondent for The Best Damn Sports Show Period
She was hired by ESPN in 2011 and logged hours all over the network before she became the heir apparent to Michelle Beadle, whom she replaced as host of SportsNation in 2012. When Colin Cowherd left, Thompson became the show's first-billed star when it relocated to Los Angeles shortly thereafter.

How many times will we see a beautiful blonde with long legs and an amazing tan roaming the sidelines or walking the halls at Bristol thanks to ESPN?
Will the madness ever stop? Will they ever quit hiring such beautiful women? At least they no longer have Steve Phillips lurking the halls.

Did You Know:
Inés Sainz may be best known in the U.S. as the reporter at the center of the Jets controversy in 2010, in which quarterback Mark Sanchez and other members of the team reportedly made her feel uncomfortable while she was covering them in New York. The story got widespread coverage, but she later downplayed the whole incident.
But Sainz's popularity south of the boarder is much more more universal. Her official bio says she is "widely known as the Woman of Sports in Mexico." I'm not how many women of sports there are in Mexico, but that sounds pretty impressive. She knows she is hotter than you. She knows exactly what she is doing. She knows that jeans are not suppose to cut off the circulation around your thighs.
But Ines Sainz does it anyway. She constantly does her best job of being beautiful on television, and it totally works too.

Bye bye Beantown, hello Tinseltown!
Heidi Watney is heading to Los Angeles to cover the Lakers next season. Awesome.
That is all LA needs. One more hot blonde.

Did You Know:
Sara Carbonero covers sports for the Telecinco network in Spain, most notably the 2010 FIFA World Cup—when it was widely reported that her presence distracted her fiancé, Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas, costing them a game against Switzerland.
You'd think Casillas would have gotten used to her beauty at some point—but bringing Carbonero into the discussion is much more interesting than saying the Swiss played a better game.

Sara Carbonero? As a reporter? But I thought she was a WAG?
Sure, she has made her mark as a WAG in my book, but her day job is being a reporter for Spanish TV station, Telecinco.
For those of you playing at home, Telecinco translates to Channel 5.

Did You Know:
Michelle Beadle followed her nemesis, Erin Andrews, out the backdoor of ESPN's Bristol compound in May 2012. Unless you've really been looking for her, it's quite possible you haven't seen her since.
Beadle has been working as an occasional correspondent for the tabloid news show Access Hollywood, and her NBC show The Crossover premiered with relatively little fanfare in January 2012. Oh, and it's terrible. As a sports fan, describe your perfect woman. Go ahead and take a moment to think about it.
Is she beautiful? Duh!
Does she have a great job? Of course.
Does she have a passion for sports? Yep.
Can she hang with the guys and fit in with any crowd as if she has been a part of the group all along? Yeah. Michelle Beadle.

3. Leeann Tweeden: Fox Sports West

Leeann Tweeden puts the sexy in female sports reporter. She takes the term to a whole new level.
From Hooters to Playboy and FHM to Maxim, she has modeled across the board and is now a sideline hottie for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Angels.
Maybe that's why Albert Pujols chose to play there.

2. Carrie Milbank

2carriemilbank_display_image
From the Houston Texans sidelines to the front lines, Carrie Milbank is now a certified sexy sports reporter.
Anytime a NFL cheerleader wants to become a professional sports reporter, it is not only welcomed, but encouraged. Of course we want to watch her report about sports. Who else would?
You can also see her do some video work for Bleacher Report right here.

Did You Know:
Jenn Brown graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida, which she attended on a full academic scholarship and where she was an accomplished student-athlete.
She has worked occasionally as a model, but turned down an opportunity to appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in 2010. Brown is married to actor Wes Chatham and has won two Emmy Awards since being hired by ESPN.Jenn Brown is both a beautiful female sideline reporter and former softball star at the University of Florida.
It is unfair that ESPN has first dibs on any beautiful female sports reporter on the market. If there was a draft for hot female sports reporters, Jenn Brown would go No. 1. Always.
