Tim Lahaye, Evangelical Christian Minister, Warns Obama Bringing Us Closer To 'The Apocalypse'
LaHaye issued the dire warning in an appearance this week on Mike Huckabee's talk show on Fox News.
"Our present president doesn't seem to get it," LaHaye explained. "He doesn't understand that some of the things he's introducing that many of us call 'raw socialism' -- it's a different name, but it's essentially government control and government domination of everything."
The evangelical voice said of the political platform maintained by the Obama administration, "It's going to work against our country and bringing us closer to the apocalypse."
Huckabee went on to prod LaHaye a bit further on his assertion. "Are we now living in the end times, from your perspective?" asked the former Arkansas Governor and possible 2012 White House contender.
LaHaye's response: "Very definitely, governor."

Obama, his team struggling with accuracy when explaining impact of sequester cuts

President Obama and top administration officials are struggling with accuracy in explaining the impact of billions in federal budget cuts known as sequester that kicked in Saturday morning -- even getting called out by a Capitol Hill superintendent about furloughs for support staffers.
Carlos Elias, the Capitol Building superintendent, sent out a memo Friday reminding staffers that the current sequestration plan does not include “reductions in force or furloughs” and that “pay and benefit of each of our employees will not be impacted.”
Though not directly mentioning Obama by name, Elias also said in the memo that a “high-ranking official said employees that clean and maintain the U.S. Capitol will receive a cut in pay.”
Hours before the memo was released, the president, in what appears to be the administration’s attempt to maximize the potential impact of the cuts, said at a press conference: “Starting tomorrow everybody here, all the folks who are cleaning the floors at the Capitol. Now that Congress has left, somebody’s going to be vacuuming and cleaning those floors and throwing out the garbage. They’re going to have less pay. The janitors, the security guards, they just got a pay cut, and they’ve got to figure out how to manage that. That’s real.”
The cuts were proposed by the president and agree upon by Congress in 2011 after Democrats and Republicans failed to agree on a more measured way to reduce the deficit. The $85 billion in cuts in 2013 to the Defense Department and domestic program will be more like $45 billion when pro-rated this year.
Last weekend, Education Secretary Arne Duncan told CBS “there are literally teachers now who are getting pink slips, who are getting notices that they can’t come back this fall." However, Duncan appeared to backpedaling Wednesday, coming up with just one example, a West Virginia county, and the disclaimer that “whether it’s all sequester-related, I don’t know.”
Officials in the state’s Kanawha County told The Washington Post that “transfer notices” were sent to at least 104 educators and they had more to do with how West Virginia allocates federal dollars designated for poor children.
PolitiFact, the Tampa Tribune’s fact-checking operation, has also reviewed officials’ sequester claims, concluding much has been “doomsday” and “worst-case-scenario” rhetoric.
The newspaper’s Pulitzer Prize-winning group
found that Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood’s recent warning that
air travel will be delayed because of Federal Aviation Administration
cuts is just mostly true."Flights to major cities like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco and others could experience delays of up to 90 minutes during peak hours because we have fewer (air traffic) controllers on staff,” LaHood said last week.
Thought sequester requires across-the-board cuts with no shifting of money between agency departments, there appears to be some flexibility in make the cuts, including $600 million from the FAA, experts told PolitiFact.
Rough one-third of FAA employees are controllers, so furloughs are possible. But agency Chairman Michael Huerta recently suggested cuts might start on the midnight shifts or at smaller and low-traffic facilities, which would at least in the short term spare the major airports.

As China and Russia grow stronger Obama works to disarm America

We all know that Barack HUSSEIN Obama has contempt for our military, after all they're fighting against his muslim brethren, but he can't blatantly show it...so what does he do...he invents 'sequestration'...just another word for blackmailing Republicans to do his bidding out of fear of cuts to the military (which he'll do anyway)...sequestration...used to keep the focus off his true objective of destroying America's standing as the world's leading superpower.
Guess what...it's working for as the world becomes a more volatile place, stealthily and with the muslim covering his tracks, Obama is knowingly and willingly making America weaker.
Want proof...let's start with China. We all know Obama is going to cut our military defense budget even though he knows that China continues to increase theirs. In 2012 alone, China increased their military budget by 11.2%, following similar increases in previous years. The increase lifted spending to some 670 billion yuan ($106.4 billion) in 2012, which is almost 68 billion more than in 2011.
By comparison, the proposed US defense budget for the 2013 fiscal year is $613.9 billion, including $525.4 billion in base spending. That budget cuts half a trillion dollars in spending increases over the next 10 years.
NOT good...NOT good at all.
And then just the other day a report was released giving some of the most up to date proof linking the Chinese military to a recent wave of cyber spying and hacking of US military contractors, energy companies, and other key industries. And of course The (Chinese) Ministry of National Defense said the report is 'groundless' claiming that hacking is illegal in China, and that the government 'always strongly fights' against it.
And if you believe that I've got some swampland to sell you.
But what does Obama do about this...basically NOTHING but issue a useless statement through Press Secretary Jay Carney saying, “the administration has repeatedly raised our concerns at the highest levels about cyber theft with senior Chinese officials, including in the military, and we will continue to do so”...and that the US wants to "develop an understanding of acceptable behavior in cyberspace" with China.
Oh whoopee-do...talking with the enemy...like that accomplishes anything. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama gave the Chinese the passwords himself...and I say that only half kidding.
So now China has some of our military secrets and our president (gag) sits back and only wants to make nice-nice and tell the Chinese to play by the rules...sounds like aiding and abetting to me.
And now add Russia into the mix. During Obama's State of the Union Address, in the latest sign of Moscow’s growing strategic assertiveness toward the United States, Russian Bear Nuclear Bombers circled the US territory of Guam. This comes after last month's discovery of a Russian Nuclear Submarine laying off our Gulf Coast. And what does Obama do about either incident...he looks away and remains silent as he rushes to disarm our nuclear forces and basically dismantle our conventional military with his defense budget cuts as Russia continues its long-term increase in military spending. The increase of 9.3% in real terms in 2011 took Russia to third place in the list of top global military spenders, behind us and China. And further increases of around 50% in real terms are planned up to 2014, in line with plans to replace 70% of Russia's mostly Soviet-era military equipment with modern weapons by 2020.
Modern weapons...and we all know what that means.
But Obama is determined to dismantle our nuclear arsenal by one-third, even as Russia increases theirs, as he clings to the crap that he's doing so to save billions of dollars in military spending, and that in turn would help ease the federal deficit.
Who does he think he's kidding as any monies saved will go as usual into his freebie and handout programs to keep his adoring example in line.
And then there's this little goody...remember when Obama was picked up by an open mike telling Russian President Medvedev that “after my election I have more flexibility” on missile defense...well folks that was a deal of sorts being made...a deal to negotiate an entirely new 'supposedly' arms reduction treaty (called Start) with Russia concerning American and NATO missile-defense systems in Europe but to do so without the need for ratification.
Without the need for ratification...as in Obama will do whatever the hell he wants as he caters to Russia and works to render the United States of America impotent, and screw Congress and 'We the People' in the process.

earlier this week. The hack affected users of three services that use
Zendesk: Pinterest, Tumblr and Twitter.

"We believe that the
hacker downloaded email addresses of users who contacted those three
customers for support, as well as support email subject lines," Zendesk
said in the post. It did not name the three customers publicly, but
subsequent e-mails from Pinterest, Tumblr and Twitter to their customers
confirmed the breach.
"We recently learned that
the vendor we use to answer support requests and other emails (Zendesk)
experienced a security breach," said Pinterest in an email. The
pinboard-style photosharing social network site said it was only sending
the e-mail to people who had used Zendesk and were possibly
compromised.
It urged users to take measures to keep their accounts secure by not sharing their passwords and using strong passwords.
Tumblr told its customers
to review any e-mail conversations they had with Zendesk to make sure
there was no account information that could be used in phishing attacks.

BP Oil Spill: Against Gov. Jindal's Wishes, Crude-Sucking Barges Stopped by Coast Guard
"It's the most frustrating thing," the Republican governor told ABC News while visiting Buras, La. "Literally, [Wednesday] morning we found out that they were halting all of these barges."

Sixteen barges sat stationary Thursday, although they had been sucking up thousands of gallons of BP's oil as recently as Tuesday. Workers in hazmat suits and gas masks pumped the oil out of the Louisiana waters and into steel tanks. It was a homegrown idea that seemed to be effective at collecting the thick gunk.
"These barges work. You've seen them work. You've seen them suck oil out of the water," said Jindal.
Coast Guard Orders Barges to Stop
So why stop now?"The Coast Guard came and shut them down," Jindal said. "You got men on the barges in the oil, and they have been told by the Coast Guard, 'Cease and desist. Stop sucking up that oil.'"
A Coast Guard representative told ABC News that it shares the same goal as the governor.
"We are all in this together. The enemy is the oil," said Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Dan Lauer.
But the Coast Guard ordered the stoppage because of reasons that Jindal found frustrating. The Coast Guard needed to confirm that there were fire extinguishers and life vests on board, and then it had trouble contacting the people who built the barges.
Louisiana Governor Couldn't Overrule Coast Guard
The governor said he didn't have the authority to overrule the Coast Guard's decision, though he said he tried to reach the White House to raise his concerns."They promised us they were going to get it done as quickly as possible," he said. But "every time you talk to someone different at the Coast Guard, you get a different answer."
After Jindal strenuously made his case, the barges finally got the go-ahead Thursday to return to the Gulf and get back to work, after more than 24 hours of sitting idle.
Along Gulf Coast, Governors Ask, 'Who's In Charge?'
Sixty days into the crisis, it still can be tough to figure out who is in charge in Louisiana, and the problem appears to be the same in other Gulf Coast states.In Alabama Thursday, Gov. Bob Riley said that he's had problems with the Coast Guard, too.
Riley, R-Ala., asked the Coast Guard to find ocean boom tall enough to handle strong waves and protect his shoreline.
The Coast Guard went all the way to Bahrain to find it, but when it came time to deploy it?
"It was picked up and moved to Louisiana," Riley said.
The governor said the problem is there's still no single person giving a "yes" or "no." While the Gulf Coast governors have developed plans with the Coast Guard's command center in the Gulf, things begin to shift when other agencies start weighing in, like the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
"It's like this huge committee down there," Riley said, "and every decision that we try to implement, any one person on that committee has absolute veto power."
